The
technology for Military Gasmasks is relatively simple. The Military Gas Masks including M-40 Gas Masks and M-17 Gas Masks produce an
airtight seal protecting the eyes, mouth, and nose. Air is then
breathed in through the filter and cleaned when using these M-40 Gasmasks and M-17 Gasmasks . Besides the Military Gasmasks, you want
to make sure your Gasmask Filters and seals for the mask are good. These Military Gas Masks will protect you from airborn agents- which is most likely what you
would encounter. The full MOPP suits, booties and gloves are used to
protct against liquid agents that penetrate the skin.
Gasmasks are either civilian type or military issue. They do the same thing but
the military ones tend to be made for a lot more use and abuse, under
all conditions. The Israeli civilian masks I carry are made to be used
at home, not to be carried into combat conditions. The U.S. military
issue M-17 Gasmasks and M-40 Gasmasks are made to be carried for years. Depends
on what your needs will be as to which will be best suited for
your needs.
