I carry field equipment from the Vietnam era to current issue Special Forces gear. Depending on what your using it for, the older stuff is as good or better. Funny how that works sometimes! Where ever you purchase your gear you want to make sure it is real military issue gear. There is much foreign made copies of U.S. gear and equipment.
